An anonymous donation has provided seed money to allow WCHS to establish a Scholarship Fund.  As the fund grows, investment income will be used to support students who are training to become the homeopaths of the future.

Before awarding scholarships, however, the Board will need to decide on guidelines for how the money will be distributed.  There are a lot of alternatives to consider, some of which are:

• Eligibility (WCHS members only?)
• Type of education (formal and/or correspondence?)
• Educational institutions (specific schools or all?)
• Level or year of schooling
• Basis of selection (essay, financial need, previous grades?)
• Amounts (one or two large scholarships per year or several smaller ones?)

The Board is asking for assistance from our members from across the county, representing a variety of educational backgrounds, to provide input on these issues.  Consultation will be by e-mail, so if you have an interest in influencing how the Scholarship Fund is administered, don’t let your location hold you back.
