ABOUT
WCHS
Enthusiastic WCHS members from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands
represented the
Society on Saturday and Sunday, January 18 - 19th, at the Victoria
Health Show.
Located in the Victoria Convention Centre (next to the Empress Hotel),
this event attracted approximately 6,000 visitors, most of whom were
already interested in health-related alternatives. Many hundreds
stopped by the WCHS booth to ask questions about homeopathy and to take
home literature provided by the Public Education committee.

"Health and wellness shows are the most effective means for us to
reach a
huge number of people at one time," explained co-ordinator, Judy
Chorney. "For many, this was their first exposure to the
word 'homeopathy' and we wanted that to be a good first impression.
For others, this was an opportunity to learn more about the benefits
of homeopathy."

WCHS
members covered the booth in teams of two or three, ensuring that
there were plenty of experts available to answer whatever questions might
arise.
The event also provided a rare opportunity for Island homeopaths and
students to meet (sometimes for the first time) and share ideas and
experiences. As a result, several WCHS members from the Victoria area have
decided to establish a regular study group.
