The Alternative & Integrative Medical Society invited WCHS to participate in the AIMS Fourth Annual Conference at UBC on Saturday, March 22.  The conference was well attended by over 200 people whose interests were either to pursue a course of study in holistic medicine and alternative modalities or to increase their awareness and knowledge of alternative modes of health care.

Longtime WCHS member Neil Tessler represented the Society by speaking on “Homeopathy: Frontier in Mind/Body Medicine”.  We all were pleased that so many conference participants chose to hear the lecture on homeopathy over several other presentations.  The room was overflowing with 40 to 50 attendees and they clearly were not disappointed.

During the conference, our table displayed an array of information on homeopathy, including a selection of books, remedies, homeopathic school literature, and WCHS brochures and our Directory.  Afterwards, we were praised by the AIMS coordinator for having the best display at the conference.

WCHS members enthusiastically hosted our table, distributed information materials, and explained homeopathy to many interested attendees.  Many thanks to Christopher Gehry, Canteris Hartley, Sylvie Jensen, Jenni Sweder, Jo Twiss, Jeanne Uwynn.  Special thanks to Judy Chorney who organized the roster and prepared the display materials for the table.  All your participation was much appreciated, going a long way to make WCHS involvement with the conference a resounding success.
