Effective fundraising provides supplemental revenue, making it possible for the Society to maintain affordable membership dues while increasing our public education activities. WCHS plans to maximize fundraising events during 2004 - raffles, 50-50 draws, auctions, yard sales, to name a few. If you would like to help out with one of these projects, or if you have one of your own in mind, contact our office at 604-803-9242. Creative fundraising can take many forms. A recent example is the innovative plan to accept paid advertising to fund production of the newsletter. Homeopathy Now would not exist without the support of our advertisers. In 2003, the Board embarked on 2 ambitious fundraising projects: a large raffle held at the AGM and a silent auction held in conjunction with the HANP at their own annual conference. Over $2,500 was raised from these events. Both the Raffle and Silent Auction were made possible by volunteers who lined up donations and sold tickets. Our successful fundraising also hinged on the generosity of many individuals, businesses and organizations who donated gifts and services.
